Orthotics
Orthotics can be your best friend while you are trying to stop the pain and heal your Morton’s Neuroma.
There are several different types but these have been the most effective for me.
First, for my court shoes and walking/running shoes, I always get a Spenco full length footbed support. This is a must if you are active. Arch support is especially important for your foot structure. Be sure to get the green ones with yellow on the bottom. I have spent a lot of money on fancy, custom orthotics, but, they do not seem to perform any better than the Spenco’s.
Then, for the actual Neuroma, I have tried several of the small pads that go on TOP of the Spenco. These will help protect the nerves and will also help to spread the toes a little. Those poor toes are cramped up inside your shoes. Let them relax!
I’ve had the best success with the Hapad wool pads. For me, the rubber ones put a little too much pressure on the neuroma. The wool has a little more give and comfort.
